the stars in
‘stars’ is Soho's newest restaurant and bar on the ground floor of @sohoplace, the first new theatre in the West End for 50 years. An eye-catching interior design with specially commissioned constellations artwork creates a unique and delightful destination for dinner and drinks, including the special pre-theatre menu.
We are open on Monday & Tuesday in the evening from 4.30pm-11pm, and open for lunch and dinner Wednesday to Saturday from 12pm to 11pm. ‘stars’ serves a contemporary international menu focusing on fine British and European produce from Head Chef Constantin Apostu.
You can also drop in and enjoy our bar, which serves a fun mix of classic and modern cocktails.

Originally from Romania, Constantin began his journey in Italy in 2011 where he trained under 2-Michelin star chef, Antonino Cannavacciuolo.
In 2015, he came to London and continued in restaurants such as Harry's Dolce Vita, Battersea Power Station (No.29), Aubaine and Granger & Co working with and for award winning and Michelin star chefs such as Peter Sancez Iglesias or Marco Pierre White.
Constantin was previously Head Chef of The Standard responsible for the ground floor, which included 3 separate venues, in-room dining and events operation, and was awarded the Best Burger in London in October 2020 by Esquire magazine.
Constantin is excited to be opening as Head Chef of ‘stars’ and we are delighted to have him, his award winning burger and his first very own menu.
Thiago comes to stars restaurant and bar with over 17 years in the hospitality industry.
Earning his stripes at Goodman Restaurant he worked his way up the ranks to become Manager.
He furthered his career by opening new restaurants and international concepts and has been instrumental in the success of many acclaimed restaurants such as Burger & Lobster and Temper.

With his passion for hospitality, Janis joins the stars team bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in curating drinks concepts.
Throughout his career he has managed and overseen many high-volume and successful restaurants and bars, including Omeara, Swingers and Temper.
